*Celestia looks between them both. She isn’t sure what to say, letting them down is not something she wants to do. Still, what are her options? She honestly does not know anything that can help… wait a minute. Her eyes narrow a bit in thought.*
Actually there is one interesting piece of information that may assist you. Though it is simply informative in nature. Being as this conversation already bridges into awkward places, I feel nothing against bringing it up. Queen Lumina mentioned offhoofedly once that; King Galaxiour, in winning her heart, had won only a portion of a prize. The, ahem, second part of it leading to my birth. Yet, while there is nothing inherently functionally different between Alicorns and other ponies physically, magically there may be barriers in place that are preventing… what you want. Barriers which, unfortunately, I have no idea how to break, should they exist.
However Queen Lumina was rather clear on this point, for her, there was a magical barrier which had to be penetrated as well.
I, hope that is useful information for you both, it is all that I have.
*Blinks a few times, digesting the information. He takes a deep breath, pondering. He can’t help, much to his private shame, being happy knowing that it might not be entirely his fault. Still, he bites his lower lip.*
I ah, well, I haven’t uh, well, looked down there…
*He blushes even more, flustered*
Well, I mean, yes I looked but not magically I mean why would I look magicallyIneverthoughtitwouldbeofconsequence aaaaa-
*The stallion takes a deep breath*
Ah, well, yes, I think this may help.
*Cadence gently nudges her husbands side with a slight smile*
“I guess we’ll have to have this conversation again..with the queen”
“Thank you for the help Princess.”
*She gives a bow before turning her body towards the large double door exit*
*Cadence, fed up with the lackluster performance of her spouse, sighs and looks up to her Princess.*
“Please excuse my brashness..but I will just be blunt. Shining Armor..” *Her tone is frustrated as she passes a small look to her husband*
“He..hasn’t been performing well..it’s just..at times..—-I’ll just say it. He and I are not compatible while we are intimate in bed..” *She blushes horribly at this*
“We were hoping that you may have something that will help us?”
*Celestia looks somewhat surprised by this unique slice of information that has been unceremoniously deposited in front of her. She had imagined that Cadence and Shining would never have these kinds of problems, and quite honestly… she had not a single clue on what to say.*
I am sorry but, I am afraid I may not be any help to you in this matter.
I am not exactly, experienced in these things.
*That’s being modest really, she wasn’t just inexperienced, she was the only total virgin in the room. It would be more meaningful to ask the guards that just left about this sort of thing. Celestia might be a political mastermind and a socialite in many ways, but sexually active she is not.*
Perhaps it would be better to seek out Mother on this issue?
*Flushes an extra special shade of crimson at the idea of bringing in another pony into this most intimate of conversation. He stammers*
B-But your highness, certainly you must know something, I mean, you’ve lived for a thousand years, perhaps you have heard something. I mean…
*He sighs*
I try, I really do. I just can’t ah, you know… Go the distance, for any good amount of time?
*Cadence nods in agreement with her husband*
“You surely must have something to help, we wouldn’t have come here if we thought you couldn’t.”
*She points to her husband’s horn*
“Maybe there is a spell? A spell that actually works? It’s common knowledge that unicorn magic does not exactly..help in those areas..but maybe you might know something?”
*gives the guards a rather curt nod*
Alright, I want you all on the courtyard shift for now. Report back to your assigned posts in either one hour, or if I come to get you. Dismissed!
*He lets out a bit of a sigh, though, he smirks at the end*
Good ponies, those stallions, but, er, ah, yes, about our problem…
*The guard captain mumbles for a moment, floundering*
C-Cadeence, how about you tell her?
*Cadence, fed up with the lackluster performance of her spouse, sighs and looks up to her Princess.*
“Please excuse my brashness..but I will just be blunt. Shining Armor..” *Her tone is frustrated as she passes a small look to her husband*
“He..hasn’t been performing well..it’s just..at times..—-I’ll just say it. He and I are not compatible while we are intimate in bed..” *She blushes horribly at this*
“We were hoping that you may have something that will help us?”
askprincesscadence said: *Nudges Shining Armor into the hall and the couple makes their way to the foot of the throne, offering their respects in a small bow* “Princess Celestia we’ve come here to seek some..advice..in our relationship. We are hoping you could…
*She looks off to the side, eyeing the guards posted on the various areas of the room with a bit of hesitation*
“Would you mind if we had this conversation in private?”
The Captain has either suddenly been replaced by a beet, or has become supremely embarrassed. The second prospect is more likely, of course, and he flushed red with a deep, deep blush born out of both embarrassment and shame. He manages a weak chuckle “Ah, well, at least I am good at kissing.” He chuckles nervously for a moment, and then, slowly, regains his composure.
“Cadence…” He begins “That, that’s exactly the opposite of how I want you to feel. I thought what we, well, when we, you know.” The stallion flounders for a bit “When we make love, well, I thought it was good for you too.” His ears droop “Though, apparently not… I guess, I just really didn’t know what I was doing.”
He looks up, giving her a slightly ashamed smile “But, uh, yeah, I.” He coughs, nervously “I promise to do better?” He blushes even deeper, if that was even possible.
“I mean, I, uh, asked some of the otherguardsandtheygavemesomethingstoreadandIthoughtitmighthelpand-” The stallion takes a deep breath. For a moment, it seems he had forgotten to breath.
*Cadence sits up from her seat and makes her way to her husband, planting a small tender kiss to his lips*
“Yes you are a very good kisser Shining..”
*She lays down by your side and warmly cuddles up to you*
“I know you’ll improve, I mean I don’t think it’s possible to go lower—”
*She catches herself with a weak laugh*
“I mean..I appreciate it.” *She nuzzles you under your jaw and playfully pokes your chest with a hoof* “Asking help from your subordinates? That’s certainly something…Well I’m finished with my dinner, are you almost done with yours? Maybe we can work on somethings after~”
*Cadence flattens down her ears and gives a very weak smile.*
“Shining you know you can talk to me about anything. Don’t have to keep anything bottled up, you can tell me.”
*She sighs*
“This is about what we talked about earlier isn’t it?
I’m sorry Shining..You..You weren’t supposed to see that. It’s really not that big of a deal honey, I’m sure we can work on that. We love each other don’t we? That’s..”
*She gives a slight pause and brings up a bigger forced smile*
“That’s good enough for me.”
The stallion lets out a sharp breath of air, his lips curving into a frown for a moment. He stops, pausing, looking at his wife for a long moment, and he sighs “Yes, it’s about that.”
He pokes at his salad again, his horn flaring as his fork poked around, spearing a carrot. “I know I can talk to you, Cadence, it’s just.” He frowns, thinking “Look, I know I can be kind of clueless. I get so focused on work or whatever that I, I just don’t think clearly sometimes. But, But I try, you know?”
He looks up at the Princess for a moment “I know, I know you were only trying to help, dear, but…” He grunts for a moment, playing with his salad “See, I want you to tell me these things, I guess, I guess I was just a little hurt that you asked other ponies about this instead of telling me.”
He waits for a moment longer, and then gives a little bit of a chuckle, flashing his wife a bit of his familiar grin “Heh, what a silly thing to have an argument about. I never hear about newlyweds having this conversation.” He laughs “I must have been listening to the wrong ponies, huh?”
“I only asked other ponies for their words because..well..*
*She winces and shifts uncomfortably in her seat, looking off to the side*
“It was..really bad..shining.” *She looks down to her food and brings up another clump of greens to her mouth*
“I mean..when we kiss. It just feels so much better, I just feel so connected with you…
When we head to bed..It just all seems so different, it’s like you don’t seem to see me.”
*She looks up and makes eye contact with a small smile*
“Remember last night? After you..finished..you just fell off and went to sleep. I felt..well..used..kinda..”
It was late.
The tinny, white light of the castle room bathed the room in uncomfortably harsh brightness, illuminating two ponies at the dinner table, one across from the other, Shinning Armor, and his wife, Princess Cadence. Dinner, while lovingly prepared and exquisite in every detail…
*Cadence plops a single cherry tomato into her mouth, off from her fresh garden salad made from differing sorts of greens and vegetables.*
*She munches on her food as she looks across the small table to her husband, looking into his eyes..sensing something off..Well what else could it be, she would bet her crown that it’s about the conversation they had earlier. Regardless she asks..*
“…Shining? Is there something wrong?”
The captain of the royal guard nearly jumps at the sound of the Princesses voice, as if startled by a sudden noise in a empty room. The white stallion’s face flushes for a moment in embarrassment “What? Oh, no, No, nothing wrong hun…” He paused for a moment, biting his lower lip. The captain coughed for a moment “Just, uh, have a lot on my mind, you know?” He offers her a sheepish smile.
The smile, unfortunately, is not an adequate distraction from the stallions previous behavior. As if realizing this, the stallion shrugged “Just, you know, personal things.”
*Cadence flattens down her ears and gives a very weak smile.*
“Shining you know you can talk to me about anything. Don’t have to keep anything bottled up, you can tell me.”
*She sighs*
